He Loves You

A call to the Weary

Are you hurting,
and deeply searching for hope and...  looking increasingly to God for answers? God says, "All that you need, I AM."

In Jeremiah 31, we read, "The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying, 'Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with loving kindness I have drawn you'" (NKJV, vs. 3). Notice it says "You"; it does not say "them" or "some." It says "YOU." My friend, YOU are a "you" God's Word is talking to! He looks at YOU and says, "I have loved you!"

The LORD God knows where you have been, and where you are, and whatever you are going through. He knows your hurt, your loss, your pain, and those times when, in total despair, you  whisper, "God, I don't understand…" Jesus said, "All who are weary come to Me and find rest." God's Word promises healing for His people. Sometimes our suffering is caused by our own backsliding, sometimes by others, and sometimes our grief and sorrow are simply allowed by God Himself for reasons that may be hard to understand at the moment.

Many times, it is through our suffering that the greatest blessing will be born to us and through us for the sake of others. Oftentimes, we have to go through seasons in the valleys to reach the mountain peaks God has planned for us. At times, we will have to weather storms before we see God's glory move before us.

However, dear friend, nothing can separate us from the Love that God has for us through His son,  Jesus Christ. We can take heart that God does not change- the same God who called Abraham His friend (see Gen. 41:8) is our God for us. Just as He led the Israelites during the day with a cloud and fire by night (Ex. 13:21-22), so He will lead us. God has called Himself "the one who heals us" (Ex.  15:26), so take hold of His promise and allow Him into the deepest recesses of your heart, and let  His healing spirit pour into your very soul. Turn to Him, my friend, the One who is able to comfort you and bind you within.

The Lord graciously holds out His hand in invitation.

"I will give peace, real peace, to those far and near,

and I will heal them," says the LORD.

Greetings and Hello!

Are you hurting, and deeply searching for hope and...  looking increasingly to God for answers?
God says, “All that you need, I AM.”

We truly believe God desires His people to KNOW HIM personally, not just more about Him. There are a lot of hurting people out there, and Jesus' message is simple: "Come to Me all who are weary, and I will give you rest."

My friend, there is hope and not all is lost. We here at Cypress Ministries are simply His servants and willing vessels, who want to make Jesus' NAME known, and to help spread His Good News wherever God would lead us to go, while holding hands in fellowship, with Christ-like friendship and love.

We know that it can be difficult to understand how God's Word applies to our lives nowadays, so we want to help others to learn how to walk out life, not only in a manner pleasing to God, but to also see how the truth of His Word connects with our everyday life now, thus enabling us to live victoriously through Christ. And thereby developing a heart of worship that will honor God, and allow His light to be shown through us to others.

We hope that you will join us as we study His Word and come to know, believe, and worship who God is to each of us. We offer several devotional studies and resources that we hope will help to build your relationship with God. And we look forward to hearing from you as you begin to see God's handprint on your life!

Blessings to you and yours.

I AM Who I AM

Then Moses said to God, "Behold, I am going to the sons of Israel, and I will say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you.' Now they may say to me, 'What is His name?' What shall I say to them?" God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM"; and He said, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'" God, furthermore, said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob,
has sent me to you.' This is My name forever, and this is
My memorial name to all generations.
 (Exodus 3:13-15 NASB)

THOUGHT TO PONDER:

When God was ready to bring His people of out Egypt, He chose a man named Moses to lead them. However, Moses wasn’t sure he was the right man for the job, and wanted to know who he should say was sending him. God simply said I AM who I AM, and I AM is sending you.

INSIGHT INTO GOD'S WORD:

Why is this two-word name so important? Because Moses had no idea at the time of all that would transpire over the next 40 years! He had no idea of all the conflicts and difficulties he (and God’s people) would have to face and go through. But God did! And so He was preparing Moses to know that when they needed a protector, God was already saying, “I AM.” When they would need a guide, God was already saying, “I AM.” When they would need a provider, again God was already saying, “I AM.”

And when they would need a miracle and the impossible done for them… God answered that, too, by simply stating “I AM THE LORD.”

Read what He says about Himself to Jeremiah: "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?" (Jeremiah 32:27 NASB) Notice that in Exodus 3:15, it says to all generations. That means that what He said to His people back then still applies to us today! So be encouraged and listen in your heart as God simply says,

“All that you need, I AM.”

My friend, rest in knowing that whatever you are going through in your life right now and all that you need God to be for you today (and in the tomorrows to come), He knows, because He has already seen all your days ahead of you, He has already answered you with the declaration “I AM.” Take hold of His name and what He has said, “I am the LORD, the God of all flesh; is anything too difficult for Me?" and remember the answer is NO! Because nothing is impossible for God! He loves you. And His arms are wide open, ready to embrace you. He truly is the God I AM. I encourage you to let Him show you.

Blessing, Kassie
